You do...I have been thinking about this post a lot. You do an excellent job at showing how the story would be different if grace was the protagonist. Yet, I keep thinking that the mystery wouldn't be as great. Though Grace would obviously try and find out who killed her parents, there wouldn't be as much intrigue to the reader. A lot of the questions Suzy seeks to answer in the novel, particularly about Grace, she would answer almost immediately because it would be in her perspective. Thus, the story would mostly be about Grace's struggles to find out who killed her parents, which really wasn't the most interesting part of the story. The mystery behind Suzy's family, particularly grace, was to me, the most fascinating.
